Today’s Wednesday morning tea platter and a cake by special request from one of the guys last week.
This is Greek Lemon Syrup cake. Actually the one on the right is orange flavoured, as I didn’t have enough lemons for two.
What a difference a baking tin makes, very curious.
Both cakes were baked for the same amount of time, yet the crust of the one baked in the teflon pan was much darker than the one cooked in a very old much-used tin. I would’ve expected the opposite.
Doesn’t matter, both tasted delicious I’m told – not a lot not to like about a lovely buttery cake infused with a tangy citrus syrup.
