You know how it is ….. sometimes you get a hankering for a slice of a particular cake.
So it was a couple of days ago, I really fancied a slice of lemon chiffon cake (a recipe from “The Comfort Bake”).
Problem – no lemon curd. On the other hand, no problem at all as there’s an abundance of lemons here at the moment. Just make some.
So on a grey and cloudy day, lemon chiffon cake was made, with little puddles of bright yellow curd on its cream cheese icing.
Well worth the effort and plenty to share with friends.
