Hmm. I had planned to do whipper snipping today but I saw the rhubarb patch badly needed harvesting. Seems it appreciates the TLC I’ve bestowed on it these past months.

This is no small wheelbarrow and as you can see, it’s well loaded.

This is the second picking over the last couple of weeks. There are 2 batches of sparkling rhubarb ready and chilled, great to have on hand in today’s heat.

We did 2 preservers full of bottled diced rhubarb from the last picking, and now – well, I guess lots more to come. It never goes to waste, ideal as it is for breakfast fruit, cakes, baking of practically all sorts, and certainly delicious smoothies.
