Lemons and blackcurrants – an abundance from friends, the freezer and our own lemon tree

Actually, it’s a bit of a lemon-a-thon here at the moment.

Lemon cordial, lemon curd, Limoncello and lemon juice to freeze made so far.

That’s as well as the lemongtons this morning of course.

There’s only one big bowl of lemons to go, destined for more curd.

Don’t know that it was altogether practical timing, but I also decided to deal with the last 8kg blackcurrants in the freezer.

So today they’ve been turned into blackcurrant cordial syrup, blackcurrant jelly and blackcurrant liqueur (Cassis).

Now just one more large bowl of lemons to turn into curd and I think we’re done.

It would be a terrible thing to waste a single one of those organically grown lemons, not going to happen.
