The best of summer – the days of bringing in the hay.

First the scent of freshly cut grass in the air, then the turning a day or so later and finally the bales are formed, such a perfect sight.

Friends came to help to load up the bales and all is done for another year.

It’s a pretty idyllic lifestyle here to be sure.
