A couple of days ago we had a little time on our hands yesterday while Poppy Puppy went to the groomers.
We travelled down Boyer Road, which we don’t do often, and came across an absolute treasure.
At number 252, at a property named Eagle Stone, was a sign advertising fresh fruit and vegetables.
At the end of a long driveway lined with flourishing apricot trees, raspberry canes and more we found such an abundance of apricots, raspberries, beetroot, beans, strawberries, potatoes and more on offer.
There are also homemade jams, raspberry and apricot, made from a generations-old recipe.
Time spent chatting with the owner was great. He’s a passionate cook and produce grower, always determined to provide the best with regards to quality and freshness. Very impressive all round, as are their plans for the future.
Poppy Puppy didn’t mind we were a bit late to pick her up. She looked very smart with her new haircut.
