Been baking this morning for the stall at the gate. The breads are a bit slow to rise today. The chill in the air is having its effect no doubt (there’s a heavy dew here at Molesworth this morning). However, there are all ready to go, fresh baked apricot tartuffins, topped with a smear of melted (Ashgrove) butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar.
The bread and gluten free loaves will be baked in about another hour or so. If they are not out on the stall when you visit the seal, come on down to the house – they will just be cooling and you can the them away warm and fresh.
sally are you able to send your recipe for custard tartuffins please. they sound delishously interesting. add any other varieties you care to send.
thanks Jenny Cogan
