Great fun last Sunday morning in the cooking school space.
Good friend and neighbour Paul easily mastered baking a plain loaf a few days ago.
Today it was ramped up to variations on rhat theme.
A mere 2.25kg flour Paul converted into fancier fare:
(At the start we sketched out a plan and then exceeded it. )
Fruit bread
Turkish breads filled with spinach and ricotta
Pizza pockets
Ham and cheese scrolls
Savoury pull apart loaf
Chelsea scrolls
Focaccia
Blue cheese cob loaf
Speaking of the last on the list, it was actually a day also for blue cheese appreciation.
For lunch, parsnip and blue cheese soup served with generous slices of the blue cheese loaf, with its cheesey interior still soft and melty as it was served quite warm.
Last evening I made blue cheese ice cream, deeelicious. You will have to trust Paul and I on that (husband Robert remains a bit dubious).
What a great way to spend a Sunday!

This is awesome Sally, tell Paul I’ll be up ASAP for a feed 😄
