Here are some of the apples we picked with a friend a few days ago.
This is only about half of them, there are as many again in containers behind these.
So this weekend, it will be the tradition of scratting and pressing them all for cider, apple juice and also innumerable jars of preserved juice and apple puree.
Good friends and several of our neighbours are coming along to help.
Herman the outdoor bread oven will be in full swing to feed the ‘workers’, as well as slow cookers full of soups and apple-y desserts, and come to think of it, mulled wine.
One of the best weekends of the year coming up.
