Busy times today - such beautiful weather so time for a combined effort in planting onions and pink-eye potatoes. Jacob kept up his strength by eating a jarful of last summer's preserved cherries.
Cheese Making Class
Lots of fun in the cheese making class here today. Before everyone arrived, I trialled some kefir muffins with apricots and lime. That was to accompany coffee before we started. (Here they are just before baking) Haloumi. Mozarella, Ricotta 2 ways, Paneer, Labna and more were on the list of cheeses to be prepared. By … Continue reading Cheese Making Class
And then there was dinner….
Meanwhile in the kitchen, dinner preparation is late. However, I am hoping it will be good (I know there will be leftovers, there's way too much for the two of us). There's stuffed mushrooms and capsicums, also meatballs roasted with black garlic and rosemary that will be served with a roasted pumpkin sauce.
Rosie the Rascal Cat
Well, I've been practising making cheese, as indeed I've written recently. I attended a workshop for extra tips from Mad Mille company at Habitat store last week. Snow again!

Our Tom
When you once were a feral, bliss is the warmth of a house to call home and a basket you've commandeered from the other two resident cats. The look on Tom's face says it all.
But wait, there’s more
OK, can't resist it, here are some more photos from this morning, taken by Robert and Stephanie. The snow has almost melted now unfortunately, but we've been especially lucky to have two days of winter wonderland here this year, most unexpected as we were told that snow wouldn't settle here. Can you spot Poppy the … Continue reading But wait, there’s more
Snow again!
It's snowing here even more than last time. Absolutely beautiful! I'm told that it's quite a rare occurrence that snow actually settles in this little corner of the valley, so this is really special.
